About MeI write fiction and non-fiction for middle readers and younger children. My published work includes three non-fiction books for 9-12 year olds, two board + read more books, and a novel for adults. I write and edit in Nelson, BC. My interactive, visual presentations on water and food cover topics including science, social issues, and the environment.

My two board books, City Bugs and City Critters, will be published in 2018.

Water Wow! An Infographic Exploration, co-written with Paula Ayer (Annick, 2016) won the 2017 Science Communication Award from the AIP, and was nominated for the Silver Birch, the Norma Fleck, and the Red Cedar awards.

Eat Up! An Infographic Exploration of Food, also co-written with Paula Ayer (Annick, 2017) is nominated for the 2018 Silver Birch Award.

Dangerous Crossings! (Annick, 2007) was nominated for the Red Cedar award. Show Less
