About Me I started writing when I lived on a ranch in the Cariboo country of British Columbia. I was working as public health nurse as well as writing and travelled + read more through the country. When I stopped nursing and wrote full time I travelled further afield--to Baffin Island, Kentucky and points between, writing about the country and publishing many novels for middle grade and young adults with trade publishers. After obtaining my PhD in Education, I taught at university and finally moved to the Sunshine Coast, now writing full time. My latest non-fiction tells what I know about adoptive parenting; my next non-fiction to come out with Self-Counsel Press in September 2016 is all about writing. As well I have three adult mystery novels and one young adult novel waiting for a good home with my agent. Show Less
