Our grade seven class learned about Home Children from Beryl Young's presentation of her book + read more Charlie: a Home Child's Life in Canada. She tells the story of how she uncovered her father's dramatic story about coming to Canada at the age of 13, and she encourages students to learn their parents and grandparents' stories. Our class did a biography project based on her presentation.
