About MeAidan Cassie studied animation and earned a media arts degree at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design as well as Edinburgh College of Art. She is the author-illustrator of three picture books and she's probably working on more humorous and heart-warming stories right now (*working* may include doodling, hiking in the woods, or napping). She lives with her small family and big dog on Salt Spring Island in the Salish Sea.

About Me
I was born in England, moved to Newfoundland in my twenties and then moved againin my forties to Victoria BC, where I am very happily settled.
Like many people I have had an eclectic career path, one that has led me from teacher to architectural technician, book designer, illustrator, artist and now new author of a fantasy adventure book for 8 - 12 year olds.
I am a firm believer in the enduring power of imagination and creativity, and I'm very happy that "Finding the Time for Dragons" has found its way into so many children's lives. Most people ask me if it is illustrated, it isn't, but the cover art is mine.
Now retired, I am usually found in my studio, busy writing a sequel, while continuing to paint and draw as the spirit moves.

I'm a biologist and writer living on Thetis Island, BC. I have 5 published adult novels and three non-fiction ecological literacy titles for young readers. My works focuses on environmental and social concerns. I'm a passionate nature lover and conservationist.

About MeI am a conservation biologist, writer and facilitator. I have worked on research, conservation, restoration, planning and stewardship projects with communities and organizations on the coasts of Canada and in 12 other countries. In my work and writing, I combine my passions for ecological sustainability and inter-cultural understanding. My worldview and approach to science are heavily influenced by teachings from my Indian heritage and from Indigenous knowledge holders. My 40+ publications reach a diversity of audiences. I was born and raised in the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee, Attiwonderonk, Anishnabewaki, Mississauga and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations and currently based in unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territory.

About MeI'm the author of poetry, a picture book, and three middle grade novels. My newest novel, Dear Peter, Dear Ulla (Fall 2021), is about the friendship between two cousins, one who lives in a Mennonite community in Saskatchewan, and one who lives in Danzig (now Poland) at the beginning of World War II. Although historical, the novel confronts issues such as bullying and racism that resonate today. My poetry book takes the reader through the seasons on the Canadian prairies. My picture book, A Boy Asked the Wind, follows the adventures of a boy and the wind all over the world, and speaks to world peace.

About MeI am the author of seven best-selling books for children, including novels and biographies for middle grade readers, and picture books for younger children. I enjoy speaking about my books to students from grades one to seven, and I also teach writing classes to older students.
