About Me I was born in England, moved to Newfoundland in my twenties and then moved againin my forties to Victoria BC, where I am very happily settled. Like many people I have had an eclectic career path, one that has led me from teacher to architectural technician, book designer, illustrator, artist and now new author of a fantasy adventure book for 8 - 12 year olds. I am a firm believer in the enduring power of imagination and creativity, and I'm very happy that "Finding the Time for Dragons" has found its way into so many children's lives. Most people ask me if it is illustrated, it isn't, but the cover art is mine. Now retired, I am usually found in my studio, busy writing a sequel, while continuing to paint and draw as the spirit moves.

About MeI am an illustrator, author, and video game developer from the Lower Mainland of BC. I love working on picture books and mid grade graphic novels, but I am also keen to work on YA projects in the near future! In 2024, my author-illustrator debut Hair Oil Magic (Bloomsbury) was published. My graphic novel projects include illustrating Whatever After, the Graphic Novel: Fairest of All (Scholastic), based on the best-selling series by Sarah Mlynowski, and Aru Shah and the End of Time: The Graphic Novel (Rick Riordan Presents).
I am open to doing readings for young children, as well as doing author talks with creative drawing workshops for kids ranging from K-Grade 6.

About MeI'm an author and illustrator from Kamloops BC. I'm a fan of the weird, the wacky and the strange and love writing scary stories that make people scream (and laugh). My creative process is best described as a perpetual state of screeching panic which, though terrible for my general health, apparently makes for entertaining stories. I enjoy board games, card games, roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, and am profoundly allergic to cats. Profoundly allergic. Profoundly.

About MeI'm a full-time Children's Book Illustrator, living in West Van since 2021. I started my career as a graphic designer many moons ago but found that my love of children's books was too strong to ignore. My most recent PB was my first non-fiction STEM publication, and it's all about the importance of tiny animals - I couldn't have asked for a better subject. I also love drawing food, games and book covers. I'm expanding my portfolio to Middle-Grade/YA and learning all about drawing comics. You can find me petting all the dogs at the park or making paper collages when I'm not working.

About MeI’ve written and illustrated a funny book called QUEENIE JEAN IS IN TROUBLE AGAIN about a ten-year-old girl with ADHD set on Vancouver’s North Shore. While I don’t have ADHD, I have a daughter who does. Kids love to see themselves in books but there are few kids’ books featuring main characters with ADHD. Yet such stories can teach us empathy and understanding.
I’ve worked as a piano teacher, camp counsellor, waitress, math tutor and chartered accountant. I’ve also worked with lots of non-profits and charities like churches, schools, and organizations that provide health care and social services. While I've only been writing for the past several years, I've always been a storyteller.
I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario but have lived in and around Vancouver for a very long time. Right now, I live in a concrete bunker in a rural seaside community with my husband and Labrador retrievers and our two grown children live nearby.
